Types of Accreditation

Types of Accreditation

Institutional Accreditation

ILJSAN offers Institutional Accreditation to law faculties, judicial academies, and legal education centers. This comprehensive accreditation covers the institution’s overall governance, academic structure, administrative systems, faculty qualifications, and compliance with international legal education standards.

Institutional Accreditation verifies that the organization as a whole maintains a high level of integrity, transparency, and capacity to deliver quality legal education aligned with national and global expectations.

Programmatic Accreditation

This type of accreditation focuses on specific academic or training programmes, such as LLB, LLM, or continuing legal education courses. Programmatic Accreditation assesses the curriculum structure, course content, faculty expertise, and student outcomes of individual programmes.

Interim / Provisional Accreditation

ILJSAN provides Provisional Accreditation to newly established programmes or institutions that demonstrate significant potential but are still in the process of achieving full compliance. This status allows institutions to operate under ILJSAN oversight while working toward full accreditation.

Provisional Accreditation includes a detailed roadmap and a follow-up assessment timeline to guide institutions toward full recognition within a defined period.

Re-Accreditation and Renewal

Accredited institutions and programmes are required to undergo re-accreditation every 3 to 5 years depending on jurisdictional guidelines. ILJSAN conducts a comprehensive review to ensure ongoing compliance, quality improvement, and adaptation to evolving legal education trends.
